Now I have a 'food' icon, I'd like to put it to a good use. And what better use than to share my own cookery? It's a family tradition to eat very richly and elaborately on Sunday's, and we had some nice stuff today. Just bear in mind that this is cookery à la Julianna, using what's at hand in random amounts. So without further ado:

Pumpkin and shrimp soup:
Cut two onions and stew them with butter until they're glazed over. Cut and peel several tomatoes and a quarter of a pumpkin. Add those to the onions, then fill the pot with water. Add 8 cubes of chicken broth, mixed pepper to taste, and boil for 30 minutes. Mix thoroughly afterward, then add North Sea shrimp. Serve with cream.
Oven spinach & mushrooms:
Wash and stew the spinach with butter, until it's completely reduced. Then add thyme and oregano broth cubes. Wash the mushrooms and cook them on high for 10 minutes. Drain them, and place mushrooms and spinach in an oven dish. Add cream, cut some goat cheese into squares, wrap with cured lard and put them on top. Place in a hot air oven on 180°C for 15 minutes.
Salmon pastries:
Cut the salmon into 2" pieces, remove any bones. Add white pepper, a little cream cheese with herbs and a little butter. Wrap salmon in puff pastry dough (or phyllo dough), making sure to cover it as well as possible. Place the bundles on oven paper. Bake for 15 minutes in a hot air over on 180°C, or until golden brown.
